Veteran British-born South African actor Ron Smerczak has passed away at the age of 70 years.
News of the actor’s death was shared by The South Africa Guild of Actors (SAGA) on Sunday.
“His love for Shakespeare, stage, TV and film defined his decades of service to the industry,” read a tweet from SAGA.

Tributes for the late actor poured in on social media, with many praising the actor for his contribution to the arts.
Actor and SAGA chair Jack Devnarain took to social media to pay tribute to the actor who he had ” the greatest respect and admiration” for in a heartfelt post.
