Fergie and Josh Duhamel are over. The musician and actor decided to separate peacefully after years of struggling to make their relationship work, and they have released a joint statement to that effect.
“With absolute love and respect we decided to separate as a couple earlier this year,” the couple said in a joint statement. “To give our family the best opportunity to adjust, we wanted to keep this a private matter before sharing it with the public. We are and will always be united in our support of each other and our family.”
Many fans didn’t see this split coming. Though it has been a while since the Fergie and Josh were spotted in public together, the duo often gushed about each other on social media.
In January, they wrote each other a loving note, celebrating their anniversary. And in June, they teamed up for another intimate celebration of their 4-year-old son, Axl’s birthday.
Now, they have announced that they are divorcing and fans are heartbroken.
