Video: South African Minister Dlamini Fights Off Journalists At Mandela Day Commemorations

Mandela Day Commemorations: All attempts to interview Social Development Minister Bathabile Dlamini at Walter Sisulu Kliptown Square in Soweto were thwarted by the minister on Tuesday.

Bathabile Dlamini was invited to speak and hand over sanitary towels to young girls in Soweto in honour Nelson Mandela Day.

Despite arriving behind schedule for the event, the minister who appeared to have prepared for the media blocked journalists from asking her questions.

In a short video, she could be seen asking journalists to stop harassing and asking her questions about Thokozani Magwaza who was suspended from her department on Monday.

Shortly after the clip went viral, tweeps couldn’t help but lambast the Minister for fighting off the media.

There is no differences between Zuma & Bathabile Dlamini and a drug dealer, fraudster or murderer. They are all criminals.
