No fewer than 100 militants have been killed in an operation launched a fortnight ago against Boko Haram jihadists in the islands of Lake Chad, the Chadian army said in a statement .
According to army spokesman Colonel Azem Bermendoa Agouna who said the operation was ongoing: “117 terrorists have been killed, two Chadian soldiers died and two others were wounded,” the army spokesman revealed.
