He went ahead and made four requests to the government which if implemented, could greatly help young people struggling without jobs.
1. The government should set up a studio in slums like Kibera where young people can record songs especially the young artists.
2. He urged the government to stop pulling a lot of Public Relations (PR) stunts and instead address issues on the ground. Bahati challenged the government to ensure public funds are channelled to the appropriate groups.
3. The government should also set up small businesses where the youth can sell sausages or shoe shining places.
4. Bahati concluded by requesting the State to recruit people who understand the problems on ground to help young people.
Addressing the State House Youth Summit, President Uhuru Kenyatta promised the Government would ensure that everything possible is done to improve the lives of young people.
