Kenya: Kiambu County Government Advertises The Region As “Free Corruption Zone” (Photo)

The Kiambu County Government has shocked the minds of many Kenyans after seemingly advertising that the region was a ‘free corruption zone’ on the media.

In a newspaper cutting that has gone viral on the internet, the county was warning Kenyans of impersonators who are purporting to be offering jobs, when the odd statement emerged.

“We highly caution the members of Public to beware of conmen offering jobs at fees on behalf of the County Government of Kiambu,” part of the notice reads.

The announcement then noted: “Kiambu County Government is a free corruption zone” instead of ‘corruption free zone’. The proclamation raised eyebrows and interesting reactions with many questioning what the County was promoting.

The hitch in the English language on a National Newspaper saw a section of the public opine that the truth always comes to light in weird ways.

At the same time, others mentioned that the Kiambu Government was probably tired of hiding its true identity and opted to show its true colours.
