The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has rescheduled its national convention to November, reports New Telegraph.
The announcement was made Wednesday at the party’s secretariat in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, by the convention planning committee chairman, Nyesom Wike
The postponement follows the inability of the party to hold the national convention on Wednesday after a Federal High Court on Abuja stopped the exercise.
Police and soldiers had on Wednesday sealed the Sharks Stadium venue of the planned convention, reports News 24
It was learnt that policemen stormed the venue of the convention around 4am.
Wike also said the party has extended the tenure of the Ahmed Makarfi caretaker committee.
