Lionel Messi is encountering severe stress from his fans to surface from retirement as Argentina hysterically aims to bring him back.
Horacio Rodriguez Larreta, the Mayor of Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina, unveiled a Lionel Messi Statue on Tuesday.
The statue unveiling was a part of it’s ‘Don’t Leave’ campaign to tempt Messi to reconsider his decision after the Argentina captain called it quits with the national team.
It will be recalled that Messi had announced his retirement from the national team following the heartbreaking Copa America final defeat to Chile.
Argentina President Mauricio Macri said he had spoken by telephone with Messi after he announced his shocking retirement and was hoping to change his mind.
