Kenya: TNA Senator Tells President Uhuru To Drop DP Ruto After Winning 2017 Presidential Election

A TNA Senator has caused a political stir after he said Deputy President William Ruto is unfit to continue serving as the Deputy President after President Kenyatta wins the 2017 poll.

Nominated Senator Paul Njoroge said there are “serious questions on whether Ruto is qualified to continue serving as the DP.”

“The 2022 question is not in my mind. My question is whether Ruto is qualified to continue serving as Deputy President after the 2017 election,” Njoroge said.

His sentiments, which were uttered on Sunday, have caused a stir within Jubilee as Ruto supporters raise concerns over Mt Kenya’s apparent promise of supporting Ruto in 2022.

“This Senator, just like Kabogo has confirmed our fears; these people will not support Ruto. They are just duping us,” a close ally of Ruto said.

Jubilee leaders have however dismissed Njoroge’s remarks as his personal opinion.
