Police denied CORD leader Raila Odinga the chance to see detained CORD politicians in remand.

Raila was turned away as he attempted to see Suna East MP Junet Mohammed as well as other CORD politicians currently in remand over hate speech allegations.

Machakos Senator Johnson Muthama and MPs Mohamed, Timothy Bosire of Kitutu Masaba, Florence Mutua who is the Busia woman representative and Aisha Jumwa the Kilifi woman representative were held at various Police stations in Nairobi while they await Police investigations over the hate speech claims.

Raila’s attempt to see them was futile as he was told they were out of bounds.

” We have been turned away,” Siaya Senator James Orengo told News24.

They have been remanded four days while Police hold investigations over the hate speech claims.

They were arrested and arraigned in court Tuesday over claims of inciting Kenyans against each other.

They have so far filed a complaint in court to have their bond applications fast tracked so as to see them leave the cells as soon as possible.
