Kenyans have reacted angrily to Moses Kuria’s call for the assassination of CORD leader Raila Odinga.
Over the weekend, Kuria told the audience that the Raila should be killed because he is a threat to the national security.
Addressing the audience in his native Kikuyu language at Kasarani stadium, Kuria isquoted as saying: “We won’t be troubled by one person forever. He can as well bite the bullet and we bury him next Monday. His protesters will throw stones for just one week and life continues.”
CORD have called for action against the Gatundu South MP.
“If Moses Kuria’s statements go unpunished, we will assume he is speaking for gov’t leaders who protect him as he stokes ethnic tensions,” they said on twitter.
Kenyans on twitter have also responded to these remarks and called for Kuria’s arrest. Here are some of their views:
