Police Kill Four Notorious Cult Leaders In Rivers State

Four notorious cult leaders have been killed in Rivers following a gun battle with operatives of the Rivers State Police Command, Punch reports.

The gunmen, believed to be in a mission to gun down the Special Anti-Robbery Squad Annex Office, were intercepted by police operatives soem yards away from their target.

A gun battle between police and the hoodlums reportedly broke out, with police calling in reinforcement during the fight.

Aside from the deaths of the cult leaders, items suspected to be explosives were also recovered from the criminals.

“After the exchange of fire between the police and the cultists, the police searched the bush close to the SARS annex and discovered three corpses of notorious cultists. The fourth person died at the hospital,” Ahmad Muhammad, PR Officer for the State Police, stated.

No security operatives were harmed during the shootout.
