It has emerged that CORD co principal Kalonzo Musyoka’s team was locked out of the State House talks with Jubilee Coalition leadership.
Kalonzo was not in the country when the talks took place Tuesday and he was thus not represented, nor was his Wiper wing of the Coalition.
It is understood that there was a last minute call by the Party to ensure Johnstone Muthama the Machakos Senator was part of the talks but that did not take place.
Eventually, only CORD leader Raila Odinga and FORD Kenya’s Moses Wetangula made the trip to State House, which is said to have caused some disharmony among Wiper supporters and leaders.
” Kalonzo was not there but a representative could have gone,” a wiper source told News24.
Spokesman to Odinga Dennis Onyango however dismissed the claims as nonsense.
” No one expected the call from State House so such talk does not make sense. There is no issue here,” he stated.
Kalonzo meanwhile, who is attending the eminent persons conference in Beijing, offered his support for the continuance of IEBC protests from afar.
” IEBC commissioners should consider resigning voluntarily, sanctity of the vote MUST be reserved,” he offered.
There has been plenty of back and forth over the talks, with some stating that they took place and others saying otherwise.
