Governor Slams At Senator For Supporting His Political Rival

Governor Kenneth Lusaka has accused Bungoma Senator Moses Wetang’ula for supporting his political rival in the next general elections.

Lusaka said that instead of leaders uniting and working together for the betterment of the county, others are planning on how to remove others from their seats.

Speaking at Lurende Pefa church in Kabuchai constituency during a funds drive in aid of the church, the Ford Kenya Party leader said that he won’t sit down and watch as his seat is at stake.

“Am very much disappointed of my teacher and senior in politics Moses Wetang’ula, why are you fronting Whycliffe Wangamati to succeed me when am still alive, instead of us uniting and working together you are busy de campaigning me, this is unfair,” said Lusaka.

Lusaka said that he is ready to face Wetang’ula and his cronies head on because they have started waging a war into his administration by propagating lies.

He said the propaganda being propagated by the Ford Kenya party leader and his opposition cronies is unhealthy for the county.

“Am not a failure at all, the public can testify that since I took over the mantle of leading this county I have tried, I have set up many projects ranging from roads, education,  health care and agriculture which has helped boost the development agenda,” he said.

The County CEO said that he will not sit pretty and allow the opposition leaders to continue pulling him down and tainting his image for the sake of winning the voters trust.

“Am a leader and I have got my supporters the way Wetang’ula has, let us unite to develop this county instead of fighting each other, in this case I won’t allow my name to be dragged into mad and am ready to roll up my sleeves and engage him head on,” said Lusaka.

He said that after Wetang’ula declaring his ambition for the Presidency, he should look for support from all leaders to succeed; he should not be fighting leaders who can help them to ascend to power.

“Avoid taking sides in local politics because I can’t be comfortable with you, you need to support my administration so that I also reciprocate,” he said.

Wetang’ula has insisted that despite helping the devolved unit to get KES28 billion since the inception of the County government, nothing can be shown of what the cash has done.

He said that Lusaka should be prepared to leave the County head quarter so that other leaders can be allowed to take over and control the county’s resources so that it can benefit the locals instead of the few individuals.

“Lusaka is running a corrupt government, you heard of the expensive Wheel barrow saga last year and now he has bought an executive seat worthy KES2. 7 Million, this is corruption of the highest order and we will only serve better our people if you elect Wycliffe Wangamati,” said Wetang’ula. ENDS
