With the fact that the nationwide strike as started on Monday by a faction of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) led by Comrade Ayuba Wabba suffered poor compliance, the union and some Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) have insisted that the strike and protests will continue across the country.
On Wednesday evening, labour leaders met to discuss and restrategised on how to make sure the second day of their industrial action a huge success.
The leaders in as statement after their meeting commended unions and affiliates that responded positively to the strike, urging them to keep the tempo of the action.
NLC Secretary General, Dr Peter Ozo-Eson, who issued the statement of behalf of the leaders urged its members across the states to mobilise friends and colleagues for the continuation of the protests
In Lagos, Labour leaders have asked their members and other Nigerians to converge at Berger roundabout in Lagos on Thursday morning.
Lagos – ′People are seen going about their routine activities in many parts of Lagos.
Offices, banks and markets are open for business.
