A tweet by Pope Francis has endorsed Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta for another term, if they are to be believed.
The tweet by the Pope Wednesday mentioned the Jubilee Party, which is the vessel through which the Kenyan President will seek re election in the 2017 General Elections in the East African country.
Nairobi News reported that the tweet drew lots of comparisons towards the President but on the other hand, gave a tongue in cheek reference to the singular meaning of the Twitter savvy head of the Roman Catholic Church.
Read the tweet below.
The Jubilee is the party to which Jesus invites us all, without excluding anyone.
Pope Francis visited Kenya in November 2015.
In the doctrine of the Catholic Church, a Jubilee year is a special year called by the Church to receive blessing and pardon from God and remission of sins.
But as Kenyans.co.ke reported, the fact that the Pope barely meant the Kenyan Jubilee Party did not stop social media from jumping on it.
