The Jubilee Coalition has denied some social media reports that Deputy President William Ruto has collapsed.

There were several social media reports that Ruto had collapsed and been taken to the Nairobi Hospital for treatment.

The rumours started early Thursday morning and were then given legs by well known blogger Robert Alai.

” CONFIRMED: DP Ruto collapsed at his Karen home last evening. He was rushed to Nairobi hospital. Waiting for more updates,” he said.

He then added updates.

” 3 more sources confirm that Ruto was last evening rushed to hospital. Not sure if he is still at Nairobi Hospital,” he added.

The rumours though were quickly silenced by Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen, a close ally of the DP’s.

” To friends calling/sending SMS about well being of DP, please ignore rumours on social media. I spoke to him as he left Nairobi for North Eastern,” he said.

Ruto and President Uhuru Kenyatta are scheduled to hold a three day tour of the region starting Thursday.
