There will be no appearance by the executive at the funeral of Jacob Juma.
Juma, who was murdered last week in cold blood in Nairobi next to Lenana School will be buried at his Bungoma home Saturday.
The funeral will be held in the backdrop of arguments over who killed the flamboyant businessman and an alleged cover-up by the government to hide the details of the murder, according to the opposition.
Last weekend witnessed the funeral of former First Lady Lucy Kibaki in Othaya where the top two President Uhuru Kenyatta and DP William Ruto as well as other leaders attended the send off.
This time though, it will be nothing like.
” The President will not be in attendance as he has got other commitments,” a source at State House told News24.
As was the DP’s office.
” The DP cannot make it as he had other important pre planned events to attend to,” a call to his office confirmed.
Not that there was any love lost between Juma and the executive, which he had long accused of grand corruption, tribalism, favouritism and nepotism.
