President Kenyatta has come out to ask Kenyans to support him for a second term in office.

In an interview with the star newspaper on Wednesday, Kenyatta said he is the best bet for Kenyans come 2017 elections.

Kenyatta defeated Raila Odinga during the 2013 elections although the poll results were challenged at the Supreme court which rubber stamped the victory.Speaking to the star newspaper during the interview, Kenyatta acknowledged that corruption has been the biggest nightmare to his government but asked every Kenyan to join hands in the war.

“I think we have done well. I’m not saying we have overcome the vice, but we have taken a bold view on corruption. We are not brushing anything under the carpet,” Uhuru said about corruption.

“We have made major strides in terms of combating corruption and we call on Kenyans and our other partners to join us in this fight,” he added.

Kenyatta said his achievements lay the ground for his comeback in 2017.”I will run again because I believe that Kenya has made very big strides in a very short span of time,” he said.
