President Joseph Kabila of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) has reportedly fired the country’s deputy minister of posts, telecommunications and information technology Enock Ruberangabo Sebineza, 54, after a video of him masturbating in his office went viral last week.
According to a Facebook post by Zambezi Reporters, Ruberangabo Sebineza was captured in a nearly five minute video in his office, thus, prompting a national outrage.
Twitter users blasted the deputy minister for his lack of morality in the hugely christian country.
The twitter campaign under the#SebinezaMustGo quickly spread out throughout the central African country, forcing Kabila to take action.
Sebineza’s dismissal was announced on State television on Friday evening in a statement in which he was charged with “a serious breach of duty and ethics, unbecoming of the dignity of senior members of government”.
