The Imo House of Assembly has suspended three members for participating in what it described as clandestine meetings.
The suspended members are Ngozi Obiefule (Isu, APC), Obinna Egu (Ngor-Okpala, PDP), and Lawman Duruji (Ehime Mbano, APC).
Their suspension almost degenerated into fracas among the lawmakers.
The trio was accused of working against the interest of the Imo State government and the House.
The Speaker of the House, Iheanacho Ihim, said their suspension is indefinite.
He stated that the House has set up a committee to look at the allegations against the suspended lawmakers.
