– Deputy President William Ruto is fully committed to his relationship with President Uhuru Kenyatta.
The DP is not planning to leave the Jubilee Coalition as some reports have stated and is keen to repay back the President for the help he afforded him during his ICC trial.
The DP has told close acquaintances that he will run as the President’s running mate come the 2017 polls.
It is expected the he will then go for the Presidency come 2022.
” The DP is committed to the Jubilee cause. He is going nowhere,” the source stated.
The DP had been told by some sections of Kalenjin politicians to dump the Jubilee Coalition for his own run at the Presidency in 2017 now that the ICC trial is over.
In other comments made Friday, the DP says he is happy to remain Jubilee to the end.
” I want to thank my dear friend, President Uhuru Kenyatta, for his steadfast support and encouragement as we went through this process,” he said.
” He is my friend, my brother, a dependable ally and true leader,” he added.
” Mr. President, when your own case was terminated, you postponed your thanksgiving in solidarity with Joshua Arap Sang and I,” he continued.
