court

The three men accused of stealing R17 million in foreign currency from the State Security Agency (SSA) are expected back in the Pretoria Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday.

William Mmotong, Albert Ramabele and Khayalethu Mgatyelwa made a brief appearance in court in February and their bail was extended.

Mmotong and security guard Mgatyelwa were arrested first. Ramabele handed himself in to police later.

They allegedly stole the money from a safe at the agency’s Pretoria headquarters between Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
