Gunmen Strike Again At Libya’s Pro-Tripoli Television Station

Unidentified gunmen attacked a key Libyan TV channel on Saturday night.

The Al-Nabaa station was attacked by armed militants who destroyed much of the office’s exterior, shattering windows, breaking and damaging furniture and equipment.

The attack comes just 3 days after gunmen stormed the station on Wednesday night.

The station which backs the self-declared government in Tripoli, was forced off air on Wednesday.

Wednesday’s attack followed the arrival of the new U.N.-backed unity government in Tripoli.

Members of the presidential Council including its head and the new government’s prime minister, Fayez al-Sarraj, want to take power in Tripoli, despite opposition and threats by Libya’s warring parties.
