A 50year old man was apprehended on Monday at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport with more than Sh5 million worth of cocaine stored in his anus.
According to The Star Carey Muhando Maboya, who holds both a Kenyan and Namibian passport, was arrested en route from Sao Paulo, Brazil with 51 pellets containing cocaine.
Standard Media reports that police have seized illegal narcotics valued at over Shs100 million in 2016 thus far.
The majority of those caught with cocaine were transit passengers from South America, and those from Asia are known to smuggle heroin.
