The All Progressives Congress (APC), in Rivers State has called for the immediate arrest and prosecution of the state governor, Nyesom Wike, over an alleged assassination attempt on the life of the Director General of NIMASA, Dakuku Peterside.
The party, which expressed outrage at the alleged attempt, described it as outrageous and condemnable.
The party in a statement by Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, Senior Special Adviser (SSA) on Media and Public Affairs to the state Chairman of APC, noted that the assassination attempt was a brazen plot to snuff out the lives of three key leaders of APC in the state.
The party called on relevant security agencies to quickly arrest and interrogate the governor and bring the full weight of the law on all those involved in the dastardly act.
