Five police officers suspected of killing a man in their custody are being charged with manslaughter.

According to Standard Media Fred Obado died in 2012 after which it was found that the police attempted to cover his death up.

Close to 20 witnesses came forward where 14 of them were with the deceased the night of his arrest.

Obado and his friends were partying the night of their arrest hence they were detained. However the next day when Obado’s family went to go pick him up, he was nowhere to be found.

While one witness at the Traffic Department said he had seen the deceased keys and wallet, a police officer said Obado was knocked by a speeding motorist on along Jabavu Lane.

Meanwhile four teenagers who carjacked and allegedly killed a taxi driver in Nakuru’s White House estate were arraigned on Thursday night.

The Narok Court has set the court date to ten days from now in order for investigations to take place.
