It should come as no surprise that when he was asked to talk at his daughter Malia’s high school graduation he said no, as he would be to emotional, according to ABC.
While having lunch in Detroit, with a few members of his entourage, Obama said on Tuesday: “Malia’s school asked if I wanted to speak at the commencement and I said no”.
“I’m going to be wearing dark glasses and I am going to cry”, the President explained.
Malia is the president’s oldest daughter and has always stayed away from the media.
In January Obama again got emotional, this time about gun control.
He started to cry during a speech in the White House while announcing new executive actions on gun control.
“Every time I think about those kids, it gets me mad,” he added. “And by the way, it happens on the streets of Chicago every day.”

In this case, emotion was a gesture of extreme happiness. Recently I had from Uganda attend graduation of daughter at the University of Windsor in Canada just at River Detroit. Just from time I saw her seated among other graduals’, I became emotional simply because of extreme happiness. President Obama was right. Congs Malia.
