Prophet Arrested In Nigeria For Allegedly Killing Friend

A prophet has been remanded by the Ebuta Meta Magistrates Court for allegedly killing his friend to death in Lagos, Vanguard reported.

The prophet, Samson Olorunshola, who belongs to one of the white garment churches has been remanded in prison custody.

The two allegedly had an argument in the home of the accused. As the argument escalated, Olorunshola picked up an iron and hit the friend in the head because he did not like how the deceased had greeted his daughter.

The accused has stated that he overreacted out of anger and did not mean for the incident to occur.

The offence committed by Olorunshola could see him behind bars for life as the Criminal Law of Lagos State suggests that life imprisonment is handed upon anyone who is found guilty of murder.

The case has been adjourned for a later date.
