The teenager was returning from school when he found his mother, Nnini Lydia Majoe, lying lifeless on the floor in the hallway, said Sergeant Mamello Mokhuoane.
“The woman’s hands and feet were tied with rope, but she had no visible injuries,” said Mokhuoane.
She was declared dead on the scene.
“Preliminary investigations show no signs of forced entry but the house was ransacked,” she said.
Police were investigating a case of murder and house robbery.
