Johannesburg – A man was shot multiple times near the Pizza Hut on Rivonia Road in Sandton on Thursday afternoon, paramedics said.“We don’t have details on the shooting at the moment. All we can say is that Netcare 911, other private medics and the provincial services were at the scene,” spokesperson Santi Steinmann said.
“The man was in a critical condition from multiple gunshot wounds.”
He was taken to hospital by the provincial services.
Further details were not immediately available.
Johannesburg EMS spokesperson, Robert Mulaudzi, referred queries on the shooting to the SA Police Service.
Police were expected to release a statement on the shooting later.
