Metro cops killed after car collides with cow

Johannesburg – Two Tshwane Metro police officers were killed when the car they were travelling in collided with a cow and three other vehicles near the Murray Hill off-ramp along the N1 near Pretoria, the department said on Saturday.

“Two officers died on the scene and one was rushed to the nearest hospital and later discharged, he will undergo counselling,” spokesperson Supt Isaac Mahamba said.

“The other motorists sustained minor injuries and were treated on the scene.”

The collision took place around 22:00 on Friday, he said.

The department sent its condolences to the families and friends of the officers.
