Rihanna’s got a new beau and he’s setting the internet on fire as if Rihanna just dropped a new single. The r&b star was spotted with Saudi national Hassan Jameel in Spain this week, and photos of the couple getting up close and personal while swimming went viral.
Jameel is the deputy president and vice chairman of his family’s business Abdul Latif Jameel Domestic and is one of the wealthiest people in the world. His family had been named among the richest Middle Eastern families by Forbes in 2016. They have $1.5 billion in generational wealth.
Of course, once that news broke it was only natural that Twitter lost their minds. The hashtag “#SaveRihanna” started trending again, this time filled with several people tweeting their reactions to the new relationship.
It all began with a simple photoshopped tweet from Rihanna’s account, a sentence in Arabic that translates to, “Soouni, you are my backbone…hopefully, God will never take you away from me.”
Once that started, there was no stopping anyone and Twitter started coming for people’s lives. Well, mainly Drake’s life.

Other Saudi Arabians have found joy in Rihanna’s new relationship, using it to spark geography lessons when people ask where they’re from.
Plenty of Middle Eastern women are happy that the world is finally seeing the beauty in Middle Eastern men, even asking which celebrity will date another Middle Eastern man next.
Others just find it funny in general and are poking some harmless fun at Rihanna’s “new muse”, making “predictions” for her latest revamped singles.
And of course, some people had to photoshop her in the baddest Hijabi attire of all, because…She’s Rihanna and would slay all day no matter what.
