5 suspects arrested with 4 human heads in Nigeria

Nigeria – There was panic in parts of Abakaliki yesterday when 5 suspects includ­ing a lady (names withheld) were intercepted with 4 hu­man heads along the Abaka­liki/Enugu Expressway.

They were stopped at in a commercial vehicle at about 9am during a stop and search

operation conducted by se­curity operatives who were on their trail after the beheading of the victims.

An eyewitness at the scene of the arrest said that the suspects might have been heading to Cross River state through the Ebonyi State bor­der.

It was discovered that when the suspects made attempt to run away from the scene after the fresh human heads were discovered in a sack in their possession, security opera­tives shot them on their legs to restrain them from running away.

The source who did not want her name in print re­vealed that the security agents were on mufti so could not be identified though they wore bullet proof vests.

According to the eyewit­ness, the human heads were displayed on the highway before the unsuspecting pub­lic and motorists who had crowded the scene discussing the scenario.

The security operatives later whisked the suspects away to an undisclosed destination

As at the time of filing this report, the Ebonyi State police command and state DSS com­mand could not confirm the arrest.
