How comes no one is campaigning for the likes of University of Nairobi, which used to dominate during the Miss University annual event in the past? How comes Daystar University that also used to do well during the inter-campus event is not among the top when it comes to guys discussing university hotties? And well, how comes the newcomer universities are not mentioned here?
Someone recently joked that besides studies, the girls from USIU are nowadays known for sports and partying while those at Nazarene have just become bookworms. And while at it, what is going on at Kisii University with all those riots and closures?
Well, the Miss and Mr University ceremony went down last week at the Carnivore and both Kenyatta University and USIU carried the day with Tomide Akiyemi (USIU) being crowned Mr University and Goreti crowned Miss University.
Goreti was followed closely by Melisa Hanif of Daystar with the third slot going to Clara Akiny of Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT).
Walter Ogeto from KU was the first-runner up on the men’s side while Gabiba Deng from KCA University came third.
