US Singer Bebe Rexha Injured as Concertgoer Throws Phone at Her on Stage

Bebe Rexha, the American singer, fell and sustained injury while performing on stage after a concertgoer threw a phone at her. 

The music star was holding a concert in Lower Manhattan in New York on Sunday when the incident occurred.

In a now-viral video, the 33-year-old songstress, clad in a purple jumpsuit, suddenly went on her knees after the object hit her face.

Some officials had rushed her off the stage to enable her get medical attention.

 

Another video also showed a man, alleged to be behind the incident, being taken away from the crowd by the security operatives.

The development has continued to elicit reactions, with many fans expressing concerns over her safety on social media.

The singer, however, doused the fears over her in a terse Instagram post on Monday.

“I’m good,” she wrote alongside photos showing the injured part of her face.

Rexha is scheduled to continue her ongoing US tour in Philadelphia on June 20.

The tour is billed to end on July 1 in Los Angeles.

The musician, born Bleta Rexha, was signed by Warner Records, the music label, in 2013.

In 2015, Rexha released ‘I Don’t Wanna Grow Up’, her debut extended play (EP).

Some of her hit songs also include ‘I’m Good (Blue)’ and ‘Meant To Be’.
