A Jubilee MP has said President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy’s ‘political wedding’ will remain firm despite the termination of ICC cases that faced them.
Kigumo MP, Jamleck Kamau said the two leaders will continue working together and that the Jubilee administration will not collapse.
He said they are the best placed leaders to lead the country’s reconciliation as they promised to ensure there is no repeat of the 2007/08 post-election violence.
“Those saying there will be a rift in Jubilee after termination of the ICC cases facing the two are missing the point and do not understand the relationship between Uhuru and Ruto,” said Kamau.
Kamau further accused the International Criminal Court (ICC) prosecution office of failing to conduct proper investigations into the 2007/08 post-election violence that left more than 1,100 people dead and more than 600,000 persons displaced.
The MP spoke at his constituency after issuing Uwezo Fund cheques to youth and women groups.
