The popular Alabama Reality television star June “Mama June” Shannon was arrested on drug charges.
According to reports, Mama June’s boyfriend Eugene Doak was also arrested on Wednesday, 13 March, at a gas station in Macon County where he was heard threatening her.
The couple were engaged in a heated argument when Police arrived and arrested Eugene for domestic violence/harassment, felony possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.
Mama June was arrested for felony possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.
Both are charged with felony drug possession and misdemeanor unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
A spokesperson for the Macon County District Attorney’s Office says Mama June’s preliminary hearing is scheduled for 27 March.
Shortly after her arrest, Mama June took to Twitter to live tweet a new episode of Mama June: From Not to Hot. Before sharing details about the show, the 39-year-old apologised for starting her live tweet late.
