Tanzanian Singer Omary Faraji popularly known as Ommy Dimpoz has spoken for the first time after reports that he had been admitted in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in a South African Hospital.
Taking to social media, the singer disclosed that he is recuperating well after undergoing a second operation in South Africa.
In his statement Ommy sent out his gratitude to everyone who tried to reach him with “quick recovery” messages.
“Asanteni sana sana kwa message Zenu, Alhamdulilaah Naendelea Vyeme sana, Inshallah Kwa Uwezo wake Allaah Nitavuka kipindi hiki Kigumu, Shukran”, wrote Ommy Dimpoz.
Operation
In June, the ‘Yange’ hit maker revealed that he had developed trouble when eating and drinking water and after going to the hospital it was recommended that he undergoes an operation to rectify the problem he was experiencing.
He added that he was hospitalized for 15 days after undergoing the operation, seven of which he was in a coma.
“Salaam alaikum, Eid Mubarak Alhamdulillah mimi namshukuru mungu nimepitia kipindi kigumu kidogo nilikuwa naumwa nimefanyiwa operation kubwa kwahiyo nimetumia kama siku kumi na tano hospitali lakini namshukuru mungu nimetoka sasa hivi na I hope I will come back stronger now niko kwenye kurecover mapumziko lakini inshallah panapo majaliwa mambo yatakuwa mazuri nashukuru kwa waliokuwa wananitumia message na kuniombea kwa mungu Alhamdulillah asanteni sana,” said Ommy Dimpoz.
For the past one week, celebrities from all walks of life across the East Africa borders have been sending Ommy quick recovery messages with prayers the he gets back to his feet quickly.
