Operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad in Akwa Ibom have announced the arrest of a man alleged to be involved in the murder of Addax Petroleum Staff.
According to Punch, the suspect, identified as Godwin Okon, has confessed to the murder of an employee at Addax, who died while in his custody.
Upon conducting a search of Okon’s residence, it was found that he was in possession of two human skulls who he claims belong to a man and woman who died while in his custody.
Murtala Mani, Commissioner of Police in Akwa Ibom, confirmed the arrest, claiming that Okon was found to have swindled people of large sums of money, leading to his subsequent arrest.
“During a search in his house, two human skulls were recovered, one of which he confessed killing the victim one Esther Effiong ‘f’ at Urueoffong Uruko LGA. Also recovered were three locally-made pistols,” Mani confirmed.
