South African Sports minister Mbalula Filike has ‘kinda’ angered Kenyans by using a picture of deputy President William Ruto as a meme.
This isn’t the first time the minister has been at loggerheads with Kenyans. A few years ago, he triggered a #SomeoneTellSouthAfricans trend after he made disrespectful comments about Kenyan sportsmen.
The minister had said that there was no reason for South Africa to field both black and white sportsmen just for the sake of denouncing racism only to have them drowning in the pool like Kenyans.
The comments made at a press conference sparked a Twitter war. But sti;, the minister did not apologize. He’s badass it seems.
On Wednesday, he used a tweet of DP William Ruto to make a joke. Kenyans quickly noticed and started calling him out but again, he didn’t seem to care. Judging from his timeline, it looks like he enjoys using memes.
