Petition Signed For Street To Be Named In Rapper Nipsey Hussle’s Honor

Fans of slain rapper Nipsey Hussle are clamouring for authorities to name a street in his honor for the awesome change he was bringing to his neighborhood before his death.

Nipsey was shot dead on Sunday right in front of his Marathon Clothing store in Los Angeles by a suspect Eric Holder. The suspect has since been apprehended and placed in solitary confinement because authorities fear he may not be safe in L.A County Jail.

Since Nipsey’s death, Project Islamic Hope has created a Change.org petition to permanently change Crenshaw Boulevard and Slauson Avenue in the Hyde Park district of L.A., to Nipsey Hussle Boulevard.

The petition which calls on Councilman Marqueece Harris-Dawson to effect the change has gathered 5000 signatures under 22hrs of initiation.
