Nnamdi Kanu Sues Nigeria For $800 Million

court

Lagos – Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra and Director of Radio Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu has dragged the Federal Government to the ECOWAS Court, demanding $800 000 as compensation.

In a suit filed at the court in Abuja on Thursday with No. ECW/CCJ/APP/06/16, a copy of which was sent to News24, Kanu’s counsel, Ifeanyi Ejiofor, revealed a long list of laws his continued detention violates.

Kanu also cited rulings of courts of competent jurisdiction and orders directing the defendants to release him, which were flagrantly disobeyed.

Joined in the suit are the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice and the Director General of Department of State Services.

The Federal Government is prosecuting Kanu for alleged treason.
