Popular Nigerian trans-woman, Miss Sahhara has reacted to the imprisonment of two Cameroonian cross dressers.
NewsofAfrica reported earlier that Shakiro, a popular social media figure, and Patricia were convicted of “attempting homosexuality” and sentenced to five years in prison.
The sentencing came after they were arrested at a restaurant in Douala, Cameroon’s largest city, over the way they dressed.
Miss Sahhara who condemned this via an Instagram post, alleged that she was subjected to same treatment in Nigeria. She also called on the LGBT community to fight the sentencing.
She wrote;
