Nigerian Fashion Designer, Maureen Esisi Alleges Death Threat Over ‘Failed Marriage’

Maureen Esisi, a Nigerian fashion designer, has spoken out in response to an alleged death threat made by an anonymous individual.

In a recent Instagram post, the entrepreneur claimed that an unknown number sent her threatening messages via WhatsApp.

She also provided a snapshot of the emailed messages, which allegedly featured death threats and obscene language.

The sender said in the mails that the entrepreneur used her ex-husband to seek fame, threatened her, and abused her.

Reacting to the post, Maureen said, “Years later n I still get death threats!!! One day soon Yall will hear my story!”

Maureen was in the public eye after her marriage with Blossom Chukwujekwu, the actor, crashed in 2019.

She had described the day the pair split as the “worst day of my life”.

A year later, Maureen recounted how she had suicidal thoughts following her separation from the Nollywood actor.

“It wasn’t easy, I swear. For the first time in my life, suicide felt like it was the only thing to do. How time flies! Two years later and I will tell you this for a fact. It was the best decision ever,” she had said.

She also opened up about remarrying in April.
