Earlier, Banky W announced that he was contesting for a seat in the Federal House of Representatives where he hopes to represent the Lagos Eti-Osa constituency.
A lot of reactions have followed this latest move the 37-year-old singer has purported to make. While some think this is the way forward, a lot more others don’t agree with the fact that he is shifting his ground from music to politics.
Amidst all these varied opinions, a colleague of the singer and rapper named MI Abaga has shown his staunch support for Banky W as he attempts to delve into the murky waters of politics.

For MI, this move Banky W is intending to make shows courage on his part. According to the veteran rapper, his colleague is well aware that he has a lot to lose by walking into politics, but he has shown that he is ready to risk these things and more to be the ‘ignition for change’.
This very act of sacrifice on Banky W’s part is very courageous. Sharing a picture of himself, Banky W and his wife Adesua Etomi, MI went on to insinuate that the ride will not be easy as the overpowering impediments and structures that have always prevented change from ensuing are still in place.
But even more, the Indispensable crooner said that in spite of these towering obstacles, he stands with his friend and he is willing to waver the storm with him.
