has replied former ministers in the Jonathan’s administration who questioned the sincerity of his anti-corruption war, Premium Times reports.
The official statement purportedly signed by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, said the fight against corruption is not negotiable and it is not a personal one.
The ministers had in a statement cautioned against selective anti-corruption war and warned against labelling the Jonathan government as corrupt.
They accused President Buhari of witch-hunting the former ministers and trying to make them look bad in eye of the public.
Garba Shehu, however Shehu dismissed the statement. He said there was no intention to deny anyone of their good name where they are entitled to it and that President Buhari reserves the highest regards for the country’s former leaders including Jonathan who he continues to praise for the way and manner in which he accepted defeat in the last election.
