Nigeria: Nollywood Actor, Femi Adebayo Cries Out, Says Internet Fraudsters Are Using His Name To Trick People

Nollywood actor turn politician Femi Adebayo Salami has turned out to reveal how internet fraudsters are utilizing his name to trick individuals.

The special adviser to the governor of Kwara state on arts, culture and tourism in a one minute video shared on Instagram said that it has come to his notice that many of his fans have fallen victim of the odious crimes of these fraudsters.

“Under no circumstance will I ask my fans to pay money into any account for anything” he said.
The video came with this caption: “Watch til the end – This is the first time I’m making a video on this issue. I don’t want people to fall victim again and lose their hard earned money online.

Femi Adebayo began acting in 1995, the same year he featured in a Tade Ogidan movie titled Owo Blow. He has starred in several Nigerian films, winning four awards as Best Yoruba Actor at the 17th African Film Awards popularly known as Afro Hollywood awards at the Stratford Town Hall in London.
He also won an award in the same category for the Best of Nollywood Broadcasting Organization of Nigeria Awards in 2012.
