Nigeria: Gunmen Kidnap Two Bankers, Demand N2M Ransom

Two female bankers have allegedly been kidnapped along the Abuja-Kaduna Expressway, Punch reports.

The victims, which include Managing Director of Kadpoly Microfinance Bank Limited Synty Akpojiyovwi, are believed to have returned home from a conference in Abuja when the kidnapping took place.

The families of both women have been contacted since their abduction, with their assailants demanding N2 million for their release.

The kidnappers are reported to have initially asked for N3 million before lowering the amount to N1 million for each of the women.

Police officials could not be contacted for feedback on the incident.
