Nigeria: EFCC Catches Federal Judge In Fake Hospital

EFCC

Operatives from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have caught a federal high court judge in a fake hospital admission scandal in Lagos.

According to Naij, Rita Ofili-Ajumogobia was contacted on Wednesday by EFCC officials after it was confirmed that she had refused to report on an interrogation regarding corruption allegations.

The judge, however, revealed that she was on admission in a Lagos-based medical facility, stating that she could not appear at the offices of the anti-graft agency.

Things turned sour for Ofili-Ajumogobia when EFCC agents arrived at the Golden Cross Hospital to find that she had not been at the hospital since October 13 and that staff from the facility had been in collusion with her to insert her name as a patient when she had not even been admitted.

Operatives have since invited the medical director of the facility in for questioning to allow him to explain his role in the scandal, Sahara Reportersconfirms.
